Fire Commissioners Call Special Meeting to Discuss Marlboro Independent Fire Company

The meeting will address budget matters and other business before the board.

The Board of Fire Commissioners in Marlboro District 3 has called a special meeting on Monday at 8 p.m. at the Morganville Independent Fire Company on Route 79.

According to a resolution listing, the meeting will address budget matters and other business before the board.

Resolution 10.8.12a states the commissioners are entering into a new agreement with Morganville Independent to resume fire protection services, which were moved to Morganville Volunteer on Tennent Road more than one year ago.

In an August meeting, the commissioners voted to move equipment back to Morganville Independent after a long-term safety plan by Chairman Robert Holmes was created and it was revealed that members of Volunteer and Independent were fighting and moral was down by merging the two departments.

It was also announced in August that the board is pursuing financing to create a truck bay structure at Morganville Independent on Route 79.
