Nor'easter Power Outages Decreasing in Marlboro and Colts Neck

Utility crews are slowly restoring power in both townships after a nor'easter.

Wednesday night brought another chill to Marlboro and Colts Neck residents, after snowstorm Athena brought down the lights again in both townships.

Thursday morning, over 5,000 homes in Marlboro are without power and over 1,600 in Colts Neck, according to the JCP&L outage map.

As of Thursday evening, around 4,300 homes are reported in the dark in Marlboro and around 1,400 in Colts Neck.

Mayor Jon Hornik told residents on his Facebook page that an original estimate from JCP&L of full restoration by Sunday was an exageration, and he expected power to be restored by the end of Friday.

If you have an outage, especially a new one, JCP&L asks that you report it to 1-888-LIGHTSS or online.
