NWS Earle Resumes Daily Patriotic Tradition

Written by Adam Hochron

When the sun came up today Naval Weapons Station Earle’s soldiers, sailors and civilian employees once again heard something that had not been heard in a while at the local base.

As of last Friday Earle’s public broadcast system had been completely repaired and replaced allowing the national anthem to be played in the morning when the flag is raised and again at sunset when it is lowered. The system will also be used to broadcast announcements to base personnel and could be heard by residents living near the bases’ borders.
