Election Results For Marlboro Mayor, Township Council Primaries 2023
Regular Republican party candidates win in unofficial results for Marlboro GOP primary; uncontested Democratic primary sees big turnout.

MARLBORO, NJ — With 100 percent of votes counted, candidates backed by the Monmouth County Republican Organization won the GOP primary here in unofficial results.
The Democratic primary was uncontested, but saw a big turnout for Mayor Jon Hornik and the Democratic Council candidates.

Mayor: Full term, vote for one:
- Feiby Dawod (R) Monmouth County Republican Organization - 727
- John C. Gibardi (R) Team of Dinuzzo, Milman, Qazi - 491
- Artem Boguslavskiy (R) Conservative For Marlboro - 101
- Jonathan Hornik (D) Monmouth County Democrats - 1,239

- Renzo Kolenovic (R) Monmouth County Republican Organization - 918
- John Russotto (R) Monmouth County Republican Organization - 1,163
- Heather M. Maloney-Plantamura (R) Team of Dinuzzo, Milman, Qazi - 413
- Michael Scalea (D) Monmouth County Democrats - 1,201
- Iqleen Virdi (D) Monmouth County Democrats - 1,185
The former head of the GOP in Marlboro, John Gibardi, ran under another banner, Team of Dinuzzo, Milman, Qazi. It refers to current council members Council President Juned Qazi, Council Vice President Antoinette DiNuzzo and Councilman Michael Milman.
Until June 2022, he served as Marlboro’s Republican Municipal Chairman, but he was defeated in unofficial results Tuesday night.
Also on his team was Heather M. Maloney-Plantamura, also defeated in nomination to the council.
