Democrats Mayor Hornik, Team Win By Wide Margins In Marlboro
In unofficial results, longtime Democratic Mayor Jon Hornik was easily re-elected, joined by incumbent Michael Scalea and Iqleen K. Virdi.

MARLBORO, NJ — With 100 percent of districts reporting, the Democratic team of Marlboro Mayor Jon Hornik, Councilman Michael Scalea and Iqleen K. Virdi have easily won election in the race for Mayor and Township Council.
Hornik has served as mayor since January 2008, and he was seeking another four-year term.
Hornik, with 7,472 votes, was being challenged by Republican Feiby Dawod, who had 3,168 votes in unofficial results.

Democrats Scalea had 6,394 votes and Virdi had 6,054 votes. The Republican challengers for Township Council were Renzo Kolenovic with 4,059 votes and John Russotto with 4,281 votes.
There were two open seats on the council.

As mayor, Hornik has made strides with the council in expanding penalties for trespassers and car thieves and has completed several open space initiatives.
