Route 79 In Marlboro Closed Indefinitely After Accident

MARLBORO, NJ — Route 79 was still closed between Station Road and Blossom Avenue due to a motor vehicle crash that took down a telephone pole, Marlboro police report.

A detour has been set up by the Department of Transportation.

Police officers were on location, pending work by Verizon’s arrival.

Marlboro Capt. Stephen Levy said two cars were involved in the accident. No serious or life-threatening injuries were reported, he said.

Police will update conditions on the road.
