Such programs including Compass Memory Support (which aims to treat Alzheimer’s symptoms through research-based programming) and Brain Healthy Cooking (which draws inspiration from the core tenets of the Mediterranean Diet and “brings each meal to life” by sourcing fresh local ingredients, serving fresh fish daily, maintaining a scratch kitchen and prioritizing ingredients that are proven to boost cognitive and whole body health).

SLR Marlboro is Senior Living Residences’ 19th community.

SLR President & CEO Tadd Clelland said he was excited to “bring SLR’s unique operational approach” to the building.

“While we only assumed management on June 1st, we’ve already made some important and impactful changes that residents, families and staff have been immediately proud of,” Clelland said. “I’m confident this community will quickly become the preferred assisted living community in this region of New Jersey.”

SLR Director of Culinary and Dining Services, Kim Chaisson, has already implemented one such change by transforming the community’s kitchen and dining room into a restaurant-style experience.

Residents and guests can choose from an always-available menu featuring various meal options that range from salads to burgers, grilled chicken and more.

“We’re so happy to be SLR,” Resident Care Associate Manu Gjyriqi said. “We are grateful because we are more supported, the food is great, the programs are great and we appreciate everything you do in this building for us.”

The SLR Marlboro Team is welcoming drop-in tours Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to anyone who wants to see the community up close.
