Marlboro police say a social media post describing a carjacking in Marlboro is false. No such incident took place, police said on Wednesday.

MARLBORO, NJ — The Marlboro Township Police Department is debunking a social media post on the “Marlboro NJ Residents Page” that referred to a carjacking in town, police said Wednesday.
The post not only referenced a carjacking but said someone "was being followed home" from a grocery store on Route 9, police said.
But police said the report is false.
