Storms Skip Marlboro, Graduates Look to Clear Skies Ahead

While some were seeking shelter from the storm, Marlboro High School only saw blue skies during its graduation ceremonies.

A quick thunderstorm touched the corner of Morganville last night, but stopped before drenching Route 79 to Marlboro High School.

But even the thought of bad weather didn't dampen the spirits of the Class of 2013.

Salutatorian Anne Ku, Valedictorian Vasilisa Nekrasova, Mayor Jon Hornik and Principal Shaun Boylan addressed the football field full of graduates with messages of inspiration and remembrance.

"Regardless of what your vision may be, keep in mind that graduating high school does not guarantee it," Nekrasova said. "The last four years here haven't been about gaining knowledge, but rather acquiring a single skill that will help us along no matter what we do."

Congratulations to the Class of 2013. Patch looks forward to writing about your inevitable accomplishments in the future.
