Third Man Pleads Guilty in Burglary of Marlboro Pharmacy

Dzheykhun Avshalumov, 24, of Brooklyn pleaded guilty today to his involvement in stealing $350,000 of merchandise and cash from Union Hill Pharmacy last year.

A third man has plead guilty in the burglary of thousands of dollars of merchandise from Union Hill Pharmacy, according to U.S. Attorney Paul Fishman.

Dzheykhun Avshalumov, 24, of Brooklyn pleaded guilty today to his involvement in stealing $350,000 of merchandise and cash from Union Hill Pharmacy in Marlboro Township last year.

Avshalumov admitted his involvement in stealing with the intent to distribute narcotics.

According to a release from the U.S. Attorney's office, "Seventeen garbage bags and two cardboard boxes with merchandise from the pharmacy, including approximately 1,988 dosage units of methylphenidate, 500 dosage units of hydromorphone, 300 dosage units of Opana (a trade name for oxymorphone) and 3,800 dosage units of oxycodone – all Schedule II controlled substances," were stolen that morning.

Avshalumov guilty plea carries a maximum 20-year prison sentence and a $1 million fine. Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 19, 2013.

In August, another man, David Mordukhaev, 22, also pleaded guilty. James Zarbailov pleaded guilty in May.
