Monmouth County Fair, Committee Meeting This Week

What's going on with Patch this week in Marlboro and Colts Neck.

Happy Monday, Marlboro and Colts Neck.

Starting today, Patch will start your morning with a quick conversation. In our daily Today In feature, we'll pose questions, recap the previous day's stories, look forward to what we'll be featuring and more.

Today's question? Where do you go in Marlboro and Colts Neck to keep cool?

This week we'll look at an action made by last week's Marlboro Town Council to purchase new Dodge police cars and a few new township vehicles.

Patch will also look at the possibility of Marlboro Township purchasing Penksa Farms on Harbor Road and preserving it as open space. At last week's Town Council meeting, a closed session meeting held the discussion of the purchase.

In Colts Neck, Patch is hoping to get to the Sprayground for a little R&R and to catch up with residents, but only if the summer thunderstorms hold off

In case you missed it, last week Patch reported an update on the Shop Marlboro. In its first year, the Shop Marlboro program saved residents close to $20,000 on their tax bills program.
