The Colts Neck Friends of the Library is having its annual used book sale beginning Friday, ending Saturday.

The YMCA Annual Fun Fest is this Saturday at noon at Camp Arrowhead in Marlboro. Family activities include pumpkin painting, face painting, hayrides, moon bounce, sand art and refreshments.  This event is geared towards young children.  Entrance fee is $5.00 per carload.

Join a historical ghost tour in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Matawan. Have a walking tour and hear stories about the 1916 shark attack victims and the 1901 suspected arsonist.

The YMCA Fright Ride is Saturday at 7 p.m. at Camp Arrowhead in Marlboro. The event includes a Haunted Hayride and Spooky Bake Sale and other hidden horrors. Entrance fee is $5.00 per person.

The Creatures of the Night wagon rides celebrates Halloween with a few scares, at Huber Woods Park in Atlantic Highlands on Oct. 19 and Oct. 20.

Valina Salon and Day Spa in Marlboro is having it's Cut For A Cure-A-Thon this Sunday at 9 a.m. Free haircut with a $25 donation, blowouts are an additional $25.

The Sons of Norway Annual Lief Erikson Social is this Sunday at 2 p.m. from 2 to 5 p.m. Learn the true life story of the first Norwegian immigrants in America.
