Thunderstorms Expected in Marlboro and Colts Neck

The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for the area.

Uncharacteristically high temperatures may lead to an area thunderstorm on Wednesday night, which the National Weather Service said could drop almost an inch of rain.

A high wind warning is in effect from 4 p.m. to 7 a.m., with reports of gusts up to 60 mph possible.

There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms Wednesday before 10 p.m. and showers throughout the evening with a low around 48 degrees. Thursday is expected to be partly sunny with the temperature dropping to about 39 degrees by 5 p.m. Overnight, there will be a low of about 29 degrees.

According to the alert, the fog warning issued earlier today has been canceled.
