Truck Caught In Wires In Marlboro Causes Traffic, Power Problems
Harbor Road at Route 79 in Marlboro was closed for repairs to downed wires and pole after a tractor-trailer hit Verizon cables Wednesday.

MARLBORO, NJ — Harbor Road between Route 79 and Tennent Road remained closed as of Wednesday night due to an earlier accident involving a tractor-trailer, police said.
At about 3 p.m. Wednesday the truck took down a pole and wires, police said, asking motorists to avoid the area. The road was still closed as of 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, police confirmed.
The driver was unhurt but remained in the truck until JCP&L could cut power and he could be safely removed, according to the township post on the accident.

JCP&L spokesman Chris Hoenig said at about 4:50 p.m. Wednesday that 55 outages were reported. JCP&L will be working at the scene.
Hoenig said it appears the tractor trailer "snagged Verizon cables, breaking a pole." Power lines then came down with the pole, he said.
