Two More Tenants Complete Marlboro Plaza Line-Up

MARLBORO, NJ — Old Navy and Planet Fitness will be coming to Marlboro Plaza next year, the shopping center management has confirmed, and with the signing of the two leases the shopping center will be fully occupied.

Old Navy, in a 10-year-lease, will take the 15,000-square-foot space previously occupied by Modell's Sporting Goods. Planet Fitness, in another 10-year lease, is taking over the Staples spot, according to the shopping center social media site. Planet Fitness would occupy 22,786 square feet, the site said.

Rob Goldfeder, director of leasing for Basser Kaufman, the company that owns Marlboro Plaza, said Planet Fitness is expected to open in July 2024 and Old Navy may possibly open sooner.

According to online information, Old Navy is an American clothing and accessories retailing company owned by Gap Inc.; Planet Fitness is an American franchisor and operator of fitness centers - around 2,400 clubs.

According to the Marlboro Plaza website, major current tenants include Kohl’s, T.J. Maxx and Hobby Lobby, among others.

Marlboro Plaza, 120 Route 9, is located at the junction of Routes 9 and 520, and has been renovated with a new facade, landscaping and refinished parking lot, the company says.

Goldfeder is continuing to take inquiries from prospective tenants for the shopping center, in the event a vacancy should occur, the shopping center social media site says. Basser Kaufman shopping centers are located throughout the Tri-State area.
