Two Suspects Are Charged In Attempted Auto Thefts In Marlboro
Marlboro police said there were three attempted motor vehicle thefts on Church Road; two charged after an investigation this week.
MARLBORO, NJ — After an investigation this week, Marlboro police have arrested two suspects in connection with attempted car thefts on Church Road, police said.
This week, information was gathered by members of the police Detective Bureau pertaining to three motor vehicle theft attempts on Church Road.
The information included investigative reports and physical evidence, which led to two suspects being identified, according to a police post.

The suspects have been charged with:
- Two counts of burglary.
- Four counts of attempted burglary.
- One count of employing a juvenile in the commission of a crime.
- Three counts related to a township ordinance, trespassing with a purpose of committing auto theft.
Police did not release the names of the suspects charged or other information related to them because a broader investigation is still underway, according to Capt. Bryan O'Hare.

These charges were developed after a resident reported the crime, police said in a social media post. There was also a "thorough initial investigation by the responding patrol officers and extensive follow up investigating by agency detectives."
