Aberdeen Expected To Get 6-12 Inches Of Snow

This storm will be accompanied by strong winds, poor visibility and possible coastal flooding. Get ready to hunker down.

ABERDEEN, NJ — Aberdeen Township is right in the middle of a blizzard that will be starting around 9 p.m. Friday and will continue through Saturday afternoon, said the Township in a Nixle alert.

The Aberdeen, Matawan, Old Bridge area is expected to get six to 12 inches of snow.

This storm will be accompanied by strong winds, poor visibility and possible coastal flooding.

Please be ready to hunker down and stay off the roads. Aberdeen DPW will be out plowing through the day Saturday.

“We are facing a very serious storm with the potential for a significant number of power outages due to forecasted substantial snow and high winds” said New Jersey Board of Public Utilities President Joseph Fiordaliso. “If you lose power we urge you to call your utility to report it. Don’t count on anyone else reporting it for you."
