The pantry provides food and other needed items to those less fortunate. For Thanksgiving, the pantry made 50 food baskets with turkeys to the SA schools. They provide over 100 bags of food in a month and keep going.
What would you like everyone in town to know about your nominee?
They never stop helping families in need, always there to provide. With the leader and all the workers, we continue to make their lives easier and support whenever or whatever is needed. It's the best food pantry in the state.
If you could tell them one thing, what would it be?
We have been blessed and grateful for the many items that we are fortunate to receive and able to share with others. The leader is an 84-year-old powerful worker who never gives up. She finds ways to provide items when you may think it’s impossible, but at this pantry, that word doesn’t even exist.
What’s something you love most about your town or community?
It’s a small town and I take great pride volunteering my time.
We want to hear from you, too! Is there a restaurant, a contractor, a business, a person — even a place — that’s your pick for Best of 2025? Click here to answer a few questions, and your story could be featured on Patch.
