The following is an announcement from Matawan Borough:  Biodegradable leaf bags are now available through the borough's Department of Public Works.  Please contact the DPW at 732 290 2011, or email <a href="mailto:john.applegate@matawanborough.com" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">john.applegate@matawanborough.com</a>, for a supply of biodegradable leaf bags. DPW personnel will deliver up to ten bags to your residence. Once filled, please leave them in front of your home and contact the DPW for pick up. You may also drop the bags on the ground next to the brush dumpster at the DPW maintenance garage at 1 DPW Drive, behind Key Auto Body 20 Main Street. The facility is opened Monday through Friday, except legal holidays, 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Bags will also be available at the Matawan Municipal Community Center, located at 201 Broad Street. Please note that bags containing grass or other debris will not be accepted.
