Florence B. Stanik, 72, of Matawan, passed away on Sunday, September 30 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Sayreville, she lived there before moving to Matawan with her husband in 1971. She worked as a secretary in the Entomology Dept for Rutgers University from 1958-1973. She was a loving wife and mother. She was predeceased by her three brothers Hank, Robert, and Stanley Petner. Surviving is her husband of 45 years, John R. Stanik of Matawan, and daughters Laurie Stanik of Keyport and Pamela Stanik of Matawan. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 3 from 7-9PM at the Waitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 501 Hwy 79, Morganville. A funeral mass will be offered on Thursday with time and place to be announced. Please call the funeral home at 732-566-5300 for information. Interment will follow mass in Sacred Heart Cemetery, South Amboy.
