Obituary: Joseph Dekis, 48, of the Cliffwood Beach

Joseph Dekis, 48, of the Cliffwood Beach section of Aberdeen Twp., passed away unexpectedly, Monday, November 19, 2012, at home.  He was born in South Amboy.  Joseph was a union printer with Sandy Alexander Corp., Clifton, for the past 27 years.  He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, South Amboy.  

Joseph is predeceased by his mother Joan Evaldi Dekis. He is survived by his loving children, Joseph, Danielle and Colleen, all of Sewell; his father, Joseph Sr. of Middlesex; his beloved fiancé, Joanne Bujnowski of Cliffwood Beach; two brothers, David Dekis of Keyport and Gary Dekis and his wife, Allison of Hazlet; his former wife, Sandra Brady; his stepchildren, Paige Brady, Nancy, Michelle and Steven Bujnowski; and his nephews, Derrick, Alex and Justin Dekis, and Andrew and Devin Croke.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are invited Friday, November 23, 2012, 2-4 & 7-9PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport.  A funeral service will take place on Saturday, November 24, 2012, 1PM at Trinity United Methodist Church, 815 Bordentown Ave., South Amboy.  Cremation is private.  To offer the family online condolences or for directions to the funeral home, please visit www.dayfuneralhome.com.
