
Marie Henrietta Popov, 97, of Cliffwood Beach, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2012 at her home.
She was born Marie Henrietta Lammens on March 4, 1915 in Ronsa, Belgium. She and her family relocated to the United States in 1920. She lived in Staten Island until 1963, when she settled in Cliffwood Beach.
Marie worked as a bus driver for Matawan Regional High School from 1967 to 1983. In 1983, she started working for Milu Bus Company, retiring in 1994.

She was predeceased by her parents, Achille and Emma (Vancoppeno) Lammens, her beloved husband, Charles William Popov and her Brother, Albert Lammens. Marie is survived by her loving children, Ivan Popov of Perth Amboy; Marilyn Drumgoole and her husband Wade of Texas; William Popov of New Jersey and Cahrlotte Solan and her husband Christopher of Parlin; along with five cherished grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday morning, October 10, 2012 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3269 State Route 35 North, Hazlet. A prayer service will be offered during visiting hours. Entombment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery, 900 Holmdel Road, Holmdel.
