Boat Runs Aground In Raritan Bay, Killing Operator, A Toms River Man
At 1:53 p.m. Monday, State Police responded to a report of a motorboat that was running in circles in the middle of Raritan Bay:

SAYREVILLE, NJ — A 53-year-old Toms River man died Monday afternoon in Raritan Bay, NJ State Police said.
Kenneth Halvorsen Jr. ran his motorboat aground, leading to his death, authorities said.
At 1:53 p.m. Monday, State Police troopers responded to a report of a motorboat that was running in circles in Raritan Bay in the area of Sayreville.

State Police responded in their boat, and said the small motorboat had run aground, killing Halvorsen, who was the sole person aboard.
The incident remains under investigation, and Patch will be updating as more information becomes available. State Police said they could not released the exact cause of death, nor are they able to release what kind of boat it was, or the length.
