Driver Dies After SUV Runs Off Road, Strikes Trees In Old Bridge: NJ State Police
The crash occurred early Wednesday on the Garden State Parkway south express lanes, police said.

OLD BRIDGE, NJ — A driver sustained fatal injuries after their SUV ran off the road, hit multiple trees and went up in flames, NJ State Police Trooper Christopher Postorino told Patch.
At 4:28 a.m. on Wednesday, Postorino said troopers responded to the crash on the Garden State Parkway south express lanes in Old Bridge.
Based on preliminary investigation, police said a Honda SUV was traveling south on the parkway when the vehicle ran off the road to the left, hit multiple trees and became engulfed in flames.

As a result of the crash, the driver sustained fatal injuries, Postorino said. Identification of the driver is pending.
As of Thursday afternoon, Postorino said the crash remains under investigation and no additional information is available.
