DWI Checkpoint Planned Saturday Night In Keyport
The Monmouth County DWI Task Force will direct drivers Saturday to the Stop & Shop Plaza in a sobriety checkpoint.
KEYPORT, NJ — The Monmouth County DWI Task Force will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint on Saturday night, Aug. 5, from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Route 36 in Keyport.
All southbound vehicles will be diverted into the Stop & Shop plaza, the Task Force said.
Local officers will work alongside Task Force members to determine the sobriety of all drivers, according to Chief Michael Schneider, Allenhurst, coordinator of the Monmouth County DWI Task Force.

He said the checks are made in an ongoing effort to deter impaired driving.
