Florence Ave. Bridge In Union Beach Closing For 1 Year

Starting April 3, Florence Avenue will be closed from St. John's Avenue to Broadway in Union Beach for bridge replacement:

UNION BEACH, NJ — The replacement of the Florence Avenue bridge on Florence Avenue in Union Beach is expected to begin on or around the week of April 3, Monmouth County announced Thursday.

This bridge project will result in Florence Avenue being closed starting April 3 from St. John’s Avenue to Broadway.

The entire bridge will be replaced. The project is scheduled to be completed by January 2024.

“During construction, a detour will be set up for traffic on Poole Avenue and Stone Road. Please plan for this detour if you are driving in the area," said Monmouth County Commissioner Director Tom Arnone, liaison to the County’s Department of Public Works and Engineering.

"We thank everyone for their patience during the construction process."
