Hello From the New Monmouth County Editor!

Just a quick introduction to get this Patch page rolling!

Hello, Matawan and Aberdeen!

I am the new Monmouth County Editor for Patch, and I’m excited to start interacting with Patch readers and members of the community.

I come to you as a Farmingdale hometown kid, Howell High School graduate, and Belmar Beach bum. I drive all the way to Wall for my breakfast sandwiches, and know where to catch the best fishing all along the shore. I have resided in Neptune for many years until recently, and dedicated almost a decade working and networking with several businesses in Freehold, Holmdel, and Hazlet. I feel confident that I know and love my county enough to keep your hometown Patch up to date and informed!

I have been working as a freelance reporter for over ten years, and have covered such events as Superstorm Sandy in Mantaloking and boardwalk reconstruction in the aftermath, as well as Prince Harry visiting Seaside. I started with Patch this year as a freelance reporter in Rumson and Fair Haven under the previous Monmouth County Editor, Christina Johnson. I hope to continue the amazing work she did with the county the past few years. My posts as a Patch community member, like you, is what first brought me to work with Christina, and I am thrilled to take on Monmouth County as the editor now.

With our recent website changes, public posting has been temporarily disabled as Patch continues maintenance on the site. Please feel free to send me any events, opinion articles, news tips, or information that you feel should be on Patch. I will be working hard on my end to make sure posts from the community continue to make it to the site and Facebook page. I will also be bringing as much localized news coverage as possible for town residents.
