Matawan-Aberdeen 3rd Grader A Star Student

MATAWAN, NJ — Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

This submission comes from Kari Meyer, who nominated Jakob Pachter, a third-grader in Matawan-Aberdeen.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

Jakob excels in school. Always eager to learn new things. He loves geography and has a room covered in maps so he can learn new places. Always telling us random facts about new places that he learned. He loves soccer and is on his town travel team where he is aiming to be the starting goalie.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

He has a heart of gold. The sweetest, kindest young man you will ever meet
