3 Middlesex County Rite Aids Will Close Soon, In These 3 Towns

There are 60 Rite Aid pharmacies in New Jersey, and these 17 are now scheduled to close:

SAYREVILLE, NJ — There are 60 Rite Aid pharmacies in New Jersey, and 17 of them are scheduled to close.

Three stores on the chopping block are in Middlesex County: The Rite Aid on Washington Road in Parlin, Smith Street in Perth Amboy and the Rite Aid on Raritan Avenue in Highland Park will all close. Closure dates were not released.

This latest list of Rite Aid closings was reported in USA Today and News 12, as the troubled pharmacy chain filed for bankruptcy for a second time on May 30. Rite Aid first started Chapter 11 bankruptcy restructuring in 2023.

This summer, Rite Aid plans to close a total of 316 of its approximately 1,200 stores across the U.S. Here is Rite Aid's bankruptcy filing.
