South Amboy Rehab Clients, Staff Volunteer At Soup Kitchen
Sometimes the best way to help yourself is to help others:
SOUTH AMBOY, NJ — This December, staff and alumni at Recovery Centers of America at Raritan Bay, a drug and alcohol treatment facility in South Amboy, donated their time at a soup kitchen.
On Wednesday morning, they packed 100 lunches for Feed All God's Children, the soup kitchen at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 33 Throckmorton Street in Freehold.
Staff and alumni also donated loaves of bread, jars of peanut butter and jelly, sandwich bags, bottled water and snack-size bags of chips for the lunches. Extra jars of peanut butter and jelly were donated to Freehold Area Open Door.
