4 Days Off May Be Added To Chester Schools Calendar
As long as weather cooperates, Chester district will have extended spring break, Memorial Day weekend.

CHESTER, N.J. – For parents it’s tax refund seasons, and for students, it’s school day refund seasons, thanks to a lackluster winter.
The Chester School District has announced it will be giving back four school days as off days spread over the remaining three months of school.
The board will announce the off days in a tiered structure with the following setup:

- If no emergency closing days are used by March 18th, the district will be closed on Thursday, March 24th (FIRST DAY)
- If no emergency closing days are used by May 20th, the district will be closed on Friday, May 27th (SECOND DAY) and Tuesday, May 31st (THIRD DAY)
- If no emergency closing days are used by June 1st, the district will be closed on Friday, June 10th (FOURTH DAY) and Friday, June 24th (FIFTH DAY) – Eighth grade graduation will remain the same as scheduled for Thursday, June 23rd.
Thursday, June 23 is an early dismissal day. Honeywell emails will be sent on March 18, May 20 and June 1 to alert community members about the closures.
