Annual Family Clambake Marks 54th Year In Mendham Township

Next week, savor chowder, raw clams, steamers and more at the highly anticipated 54th Annual Brookside Engine Co. Family Clambake.

MENDHAM, NJ — Mendham Township, prepare for a seafood feast next week as the 54th Brookside Engine Co. Family Clambake draws near.

The community event, which set records last year, offers a chance for residents to gather, enjoy food, listen to music, and participate in activities for both kids and adults, while also meeting the firefighters who serve Mendham Township.

The event will take place on Sept. 7 from 12 to 5 p.m. at the Brookside Community Club Field.

The menu features classics such as the raw bar, steamer clams, and chowder, alongside hot dogs, sausage and peppers, hamburgers, veggie burgers, Chick-fil-A mac and cheese, sides and more.

Drinks include a selection of soft drinks, wine, hard cider and craft beer from Fort Nonsense. For dessert, enjoy ice cream from Mendham Creamery and an assortment of pastries.

This year, the event will feature live music from the local band The Counterfeiters, who will perform on the field throughout the day.

"This annual event has become a community milestone – signaling the official end of summer," township officials said. "Come on out to celebrate our Mendham Township community, reconnect with friends, enjoy the delicious food, beverage and activities planned for the day."

Tickets start at $68 for adults over 21, $40 for teens and young adults aged 13 to 20, and $30 for children aged 6 to 12. You can purchase tickets here.
