Therapy Dogs, Trivia + More At First 'Beat Winter Blues' Event In Mendham
Meet friendly pups, sip hot chocolate, and more at this mid-winter community celebration, hosted by the Mendhams Stigma-Free Task Force.
MENDHAM, NJ — Mendham Township and Borough residents of all ages are invited to "Beat the Winter Blues" this Sunday with a community gathering — featuring warm food and drink, therapy dogs, music, and fellowship.
This mid-winter celebration takes place at the Brookside Community Club, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25. It's hosted by the Mendhams Stigma-Free Task Force, and this is the first year for the event.
"The Stigma-Free Task Force is eager to offer a bright spot of community connection, during these dark days of winter!" the group said.

Neighbors can also play trivia, load up at the hot chocolate bar, eat some vegetarian chili, and see a magician perform. There will also be crafts and games for kids.

The Mendhams Stigma Free Task Force is a group of volunteers, including mental health professionals, across Mendham Township and Mendham Borough. During the winter months, many people can experience a change in mood including sadness, a lack of energy, or irritability. Some others experience more serious mood changes known as "seasonal affective disorder," or SAD.
