Bids Are In For Primary Election In Chester Township

The primary election this June is uncontested.

CHESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — The primary election is coming up in Chester Township, and the election are uncontested, according to the Morris County Clerk's Office.

The mayoral primary election in Chester Township is uncontested; both candidates on the primary ballot will be on the general election ballot in November. The candidates are:

  • Republican Marcia Asdal (incumbent)
  • Democrat James G. Duffy

The primary election is on June 4 and the general election is on Nov. 5. All petitions are pending certification by the County Clerk's Office. Chester Borough has not yet provided their petitions to the County Clerk's office; the borough clerk did not immediately respond to Patch's request for the petitions.
