Bids Are In For Primary Elections In The Mendhams
Both of the elections will be uncontested this June.
MENDHAM, NJ — The primary election is coming up in the Mendhams, and both elections are uncontested, according to the Morris County Clerk's Office.
The election in Mendham Borough is uncontested. Two Republicans and one Democrat have filed for their parties two nominations. The candidates will then face off in the general election; two three-year terms are up for grabs. The following candidates have filed:
- Republican James R. Kelly (incumbent)
- Republican Mary Sue Martin
- Democrat Melissa Young
Current councilman David Sharkey has not filed for reelection; his term expires at the end of the year.

The election in Mendham Township is uncontested. Two Republicans and two Democrats are running for their parties two nominations. If elected in the general election, they will serve for three years. The following candidates are running:
- Republican Jordan Orlins
- Republican Thomas Baio
- Democrat Melissa Saharko
- Democrat Ryan Guthrie
All candidates are newcomers. Current Committeeman Richard P. Diegnan, Jr. and current Mayor Warren Gisser are not running for reelection; their terms expire at the end of the year.

The primary election is on June 4 and the general election is on Nov. 5. All petitions are pending certification by the County Clerk's Office.
