Buyers, Sellers Get Ready For Chester Yard, Garage Sales

CHESTER, NJ — Chester Borough and Township are hosting their annual garage and yard sale event, with stops at both private homes and the Chester First Aid Squad building on 100 North Road.

The sale is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with the rain date the following day.

Residents who plan to host a sale at their homes will have balloons and special yard signs to mark their locations. There will also be garage sale maps at both the Chester Borough and Township municipal buildings, as well as social media pages for both of the towns.

Organized by the recreation groups for each municipality, sellers that would like to register will need to do so no later than Wednesday, Sept. 8. The cost to register as a seller at one’s home is $10 and at the First Aid Squad building for a 12’ X 12’ space is $20.

Payment is due to by Monday, Sept. 13, to create the master list of all participating sellers. That list will be promoted and will detail the types of items each seller has available.
