Car Crashed Into Hardware Store In Chester: Police

The two-car crash ended with one inside the store and another on the sidewalk outside it.

CHESTER, NJ — A two-car crash sent one car into the new Ace Hardware on West Main Street Thursday afternoon, Chester police said.

Gloria Castro, 71, of Chester, was pulling out of a parking stall when she struck a car being driven by Robert Genova, 82, of Chester, police said. Genova's car was pushed 90 degrees to the right, police said, and both traveled towards the hardware store.

Police said Castro's car stopped on the sidewalk outside the store, but Genova's car crashed into a large display window and stopped inside the store.
