Chester Coach, Former Planning Board Member Dies at 56
Donald Jones enjoyed working to improve his historic Chester home.

CHESTER – Ask any of his family or friends, and they’ll Say Don Jones was a super hero.
Donald Jones, of Chester, died Monday after a battle with cancer at the age of 56.
Jones was a financial advisor for 30 years, most recently managing a financial palling practice with his son, Trevor.

During his time in Chester, Jones served on the planning board and was a member of the St. Lawrence Community, participating in Men’s Cornerstone. He also coached Chester Lacrosse for 10 years.
Jones loved spending time with his family and working tirelessly on his historic Chester home and property with his wife, Karen.

Jones is survived by his wife, Karen, a son and daughter, and two grandchildren.
A celebration of Don’s life will be held Friday, Dec. 18 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at William J. Leber Funeral Home on Furnace Road in Chester. A 10:30 a.m. funeral mass will be held Saturday, Dec. 19 at St. Lawrence the Martyr Church on Main Street in Chester. Memorial donations may be made to Hunt of a Lifetime, P.O.
