Shopper also charged with drug possession, police report.

WASHINGTON TWP., N.J. – A Chester man was arrested for shoplifting at Target when police say he stole merchandise, then returned in exchange for gift card to the same store.

At 8:17 p.m. on Dec. 18, Officers Roger Garrison and Frank Giaquinto responded to Target on Route 46 for a report of a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot, Lt. Doug Compton said. When they arrived, the officers found a white Honda Civic with three occupants in the parking lot, including the driver, identified as Christopher Stupor, 21, of Chester.

An investigation revealed Supor allegedly shoplifted printer ink and then went back into the store, where he returned the ink for a gift card worth $131, Compton said.
