MORRISTOWN, NJ — Three women were recently recognized after using their exceptional design work on Chester's Wildfair Mansion, for a good cause, no less, according to the Women’s Association for Morristown Medical Center (WAMMC).

The women were awarded the 2025 Mansion in May Tulip Award. Mansion in May is an event in which designers use their skills to decorate different areas in a local mansion. The bi-annual event is held at different locations across New Jersey and New York, and attracts tens of thousands of visitors each year.

For the seventh time, the Mansion in May event was held at Chester Township's Wildfair, a nearly 9,500 square foot fieldstone and tile-roofed “neo-Colonial country estate house”. The 55-acre property is over 200 years old and holds a rich history in Morris County.

Participants were invited to tour the Wildfair throughout May to vote for their favorite design projects. All proceeds from the event went towards the Morristown Medical Center’s new Proton Therapy Center.

The May Tulip awards went to Kristin Badolato, for her interior design work, as well as Sarah Conine and Beth Rosevear, for their landscape space design work.

Badolato, of Kristin Ashley Interiors, worked on the mansion’s dining room.

“Great design listens to its surroundings. For this dining room, I drew inspiration from the lush landscape just beyond the bay window and sought to create a space that not only reflects that natural beauty, but also pays homage to the elegance and history of the home’s era,” said Badolato. “The result is a timeless design that blends traditional foundations with modern elements, offering a fresh yet classic aesthetic.”

Rosevear and Conine, of Garden Cottage, worked on the mansion’s “grand outdoor living area.”

“This space, adjacent to the pond and a welcoming pool, was the perfect setting to design and create a patio that offers an idyllic escape where you can embrace the beauty of the outdoors in style,” said Beth Rosevear.

Sarah Conine added, “This is Garden Cottage’s 7th Mansion in May, and we were honored to once again participate alongside our fellow designers in support of Morristown Medical Center.”
