Chester Middle School Broken Into After Hours, Police Say
Drone and K9 units were used in a town-wide search for the trespassing suspects, police said.
CHESTER, NJ — Three people have been arrested after breaking into a Chester middle school after hours, according to police.
On Wednesday night, police were notified that three “young adult males” had broken into Black River Middle School on North Road, authorities said.
When police arrived at the school, the three suspects had already left the area, officials said.

A town-wide search, coordinated with the help of the Morris County Sheriff's Office, was underway, using K9 and drone units to find the three trespassers, according to police.
The trio was eventually caught and charged with criminal trespassing. They were processed and released to await court proceedings.

A sweep was conducted in Black River Middle School, and police found “nothing of concern.”
Police added that there is no threat to Black River students or staff at this time, and that “the safety of our children and their learning environment remains this agency’s highest priority.”
