Chester Township Budget Shaping Up: Here's What To Know
There will be a public hearing on the budget April 19.
CHESTER, NJ - Residents in Chester Township will be a little lighter in their wallet if the proposed budget for the 2022 fiscal year is passed.
The 2022 budget of $16,181,319 represents a $729,316 increase over the 2021 budget of $15,452,003.
According to officials, the average property in town is approximately $662,200 and this year's budget would represent a roughly $60 increase.

There will be a public hearing at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19 before a vote on formally adopting the budget. This budget does not include the Chester School District tax or the West Morris Regional School District tax.
