Chocolate Tasting And Truffle Making, Coming Up In Chester

CHESTER, NJ — For those who love chocolate, there are opportunities to enjoy and make it, thanks to two upcoming events with a Chester chocolatier, hosted by Chester Township Recreation.

The first is the “Taste and Learn” event on Wednesday, Sept. 29 with Michael Canzano of J Emanuel Chocolatier, his shop located at 461 East Main Street.

Beginning that day at 7 p.m. at The Barn, Highlands Ridge Park on 100 North Road, Canzano plans to walk participants through everything they may like to know about chocolate, including its origins, benefits, facts from fiction and more about his chocolate creations. Attendees will be able to sample chocolates, as well as purchase items from Emanuel Chocolatier a discount that night.

To register for Taste and Learn, it is $8 per person for Chester residents and non-residents at $10. Registration is on CommunityPass at https://register.communitypass.net/chestertwp.

Limited space is available for J. Emmanuel Chocolatier’s second chocolate event, this time on Wednesday, Oct. 6 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., again at The Barn.

Open to Chester Borough and Township residents only, for $35 per person, students will be introduced to truffle-making, with their own truffles to take home at the end of the class.
