Concerts, Movies In The Park: Chester Summer Events 2025
Get ready for a season of fun in Chester. Here's a sneak peek at some exciting events coming up this spring and summer:
CHESTER, NJ — While winter is still in full swing and the cold weather lingers, Chester residents can look forward to a variety of fun events this spring and summer.
As we wait for the cold to pass, Chester Recreation has given us a preview of the summer fun ahead, as they recently announced its summer event schedule which includes movies, concerts and plenty of family-friendly activities.
There’s no shortage of activities lined up for residents in the coming months—here’s your official sneak peek:

- May 6: Atrium Art Gallery Opening Reception (Environmental & Open Space Committee — Seward Hill)
- Located at 50 North Road, the Atrium Art Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., excluding holidays. More information about the May 6 installation will be available soon.
- May 26: Memorial Day Commemoration
- The Memorial Day commemoration will begin at 11 a.m. at Municipal Field (155 Main Street) and march to Memorial Park (86 Main Street), featuring speeches, music, and a rifle salute. Rain or shine, the event will be held outdoors, but will move to the Chester Volunteer Fire Company in case of bad weather.
- June 14: Outdoor Movie at the Gazebo
- Chester residents are invited to enjoy a free, family-friendly outdoor movie at the Municipal Field Gazebo (155 Main Street) starting at sundown. More details will be available soon.
- June 26: Chester’s Annual Summer Concert Series Kicks Off
- Chester invites residents to enjoy free concerts every Thursday from June 26 to July 31 at the Municipal Field Gazebo. Bring a chair or blanket, grab takeout from a local restaurant, and enjoy music with friends! (No concert on July 3). More details coming soon.
- June 26: Concert 1
- July 10: Concert 2
- July 17: Concert 3
- July 24: Concert 4
- July 31: Concert 5
- Aug. 7: National Night Out
- Chester will host its annual community-police awareness event starting at 6 p.m. with the Chester Police Department, Chester Volunteer Fire Company, Chester First Aid Squad, and the Borough of Chester. The event will feature free refreshments, activities, and live demonstrations by local emergency services. At sundown, there will be a free family-friendly movie under the stars.

All events are free. Guests can bring their own lawn chair or blanket for seating and a flashlight for events after dark.
