MENDHAM, NJ — Mendham Borough public works officials are giving residents a heads-up about milling and paving on some borough streets, which is scheduled to last about a week.

Crews are slated to begin work next week on Sept. 3, which will last through Sept. 11, as long as there are no weather delays, officials said.

During construction, members of the county’s chosen contractor, Black Rock Enterprises, LLC, will be milling and paving County Road 510, which extends into Mendham Borough and becomes Main Street, passing through residential neighborhoods.

If you need to enter or exit your driveway, wait for a police officer to assist you, police said.

An alternating traffic pattern will be maintained throughout the construction, and there may be brief instances when the street needs to be blocked; however, the borough has said that these disruptions will be kept to a minimum.

Additionally, be aware that on milled roadways, manholes, water shutoffs, and storm water basins will be exposed, so drivers are asked to slow down and proceed with caution around these marked areas.

Residents with questions or concerns are asked to contact the Department of Public Works at 973-543-6535 on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. For after-hours inquiries, please reach out to the Mendham Borough Police Department at 973-543-2527.
