Cop Injured In 3-Car Crash: Morris Co. Prosecutor

The police officer and another driver were taken for medical treatment, officials said.

RANDOLPH, NJ — A Randolph police officer was injured in a three-car crash Monday morning, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp said.

The officer, who was not named, was responding to an unrelated emergency call when he was struck at the intersection of Route 10 and Millbrook Avenue around 9 a.m. A third car was involved, Knapp said.

One of the other drivers and the police officer were taken for medical treatment, but neither had life threatening injuries, Knapp said.

Additional information, including names and the extent of any injuries, will not be released as an investigation is ongoing, Knapp said. Anyone with information is asked to call the Major Crimes Unit of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office at 973-285-6200.
