Crash Knocks Out Power In Mendhams, Chesters Friday Morning

MENDHAM, NJ — A car crash in Mendham Friday morning is causing power outages across the Mendhams and the Chesters, and they could be lengthy.

The crash happened on Jackson Avenue near Mendham Road, and involves a trailer, officials said. There is "extensive damage," which is expected to result in day-long repairs.

As of 9:55 a.m., 109 Chester Borough and 111 Mendham Township homes are affected; less than five homes in each borough are affected. JCP&L is expecting to have power back by 10:30 p.m.
