Detour, Road Work Updates For Main Street In Mendham Township

Thursday's road work will also affect elementary school and library traffic, police said. Here are the latest updates:

MENDHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ — Milling and paving work on Main Street will continue to affect traffic in Mendham Township through this week, and police updated residents about Thursday's schedule.

Thursday's road work will particularly impact pick-up and drop-off at Mendham Township Elementary School, police said.

Milling will start at 6:30 a.m. between Carroll Drive and Cherry Lane, closing all access between the streets.

East Main Street will be closed to all traffic, other than residential, from 7:15 a.m. until about 5 p.m. This includes buses and school traffic, police said.

All elementary school drop-off traffic is asked to use West Main Street from either Cold Hill Road or Summit Road. School pick-up traffic will be able to enter onto West Main from any direction, per police.

Anyone going to the library or church may park in the Brookside Community Club gravel lot.
