Detours Begin For Milling, Paving In Mendham Township This Week
Police are asking drivers to be patient, and avoid Woodland Road this week "to avoid all detours and delays that may be unforeseen."
MENDHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ — Detours began Monday morning on Woodland Road in Mendham Township, as crews work on a milling and paving project.
The project extends from Cold Hill Road to the Randolph Township line, and is expected to last until at least Thursday. Police are asking drivers to be patient, and avoid Woodland this week "to avoid all detours and delays that may be unforeseen."
For Monday, June 3, work is expected to take place from 6 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Woodland will be closed between Cold Hill Road and Old Brookside Road. The southbound detour route will be via Mt. Pleasant Road, police said. The northbound detour will be out Horizon Drive to Combs Hollow to Calais Road, to Sussex in Randolph.
Only residents who live in the area, and bus routes who transit this section, will be allowed on this section of road.

On Tuesday, June 4, Woodland will be closed between Old Brookside and Knights Bridge at the Randolph line. The detour will be set up at Old Brookside for northbound traffic, and Knights Bridge for southbound traffic.
Only buses will be permitted; residents of this section of Woodland including Franklin Drive, Shores Road, Woodland Lakes, Twin Park and Jay Drive "will be permitted but may be delayed a few minutes or sent on a detour depending on where the milling is occurring," police said.
