Dover Chester Road Paving Set To Begin Next Week

CHESTER, NJ — The long-anticipated improvement project on Dover Chester Road is finally set to start next week, county officials said.

The North Road / Dover Chester Road work will span 4.4 miles from 182 North Road to Sussex Turnpike in Chester Township and Randolph. Work is expected to begin on June 17 and will last about a month.

The bid price for the work is $1.526 million. The work will be completed by Tilcon NY.

"It is vital our residents and business community to maintain the high quality of county
road in Morris County," said Freeholder Stephen Shaw. "We are working closely with the
affected towns and their police to handle traffic flow and potential detours, and ask
residents who are inconvenienced to be patient as we get this work done for you."
